About.
Hi, I’m Donny.
My name is Dongping Guo (郭东平). I go by Donny.
I’m a computer science master’s student at Duke, with a background in backend and full-stack development. Before Duke, I studied computer science at Cal State East Bay.
At Ctrip, I built flight-data agents for a database of more than 60 million records. Earlier, at the California Department of Public Health, I automated a weekly data review, reducing the manual work from over two hours to about 30 minutes.
I also led the team behind lAIfe, an AI life simulator that won the AI track at HackHayward 2025. CatDiary is a more playful project: give it a cat photo, and it writes a diary entry, then reads it aloud.
